How much does end of tenancy cleaning cost in East Sussex?

End of tenancy cleaning prices for 1, 2 and 3 bed homes in Bexhill, Hastings, Eastbourne and the rest of East Sussex, what pushes the price up, and what to ask for.

Typical prices outside London

Most published 2026 price guides put an end of tenancy clean outside London at about £150 to £200 for a one bed flat, £200 to £300 for two beds and £300 to £450 for three beds. Some cheaper firms quote from around £110 for a one bed, and some charge more than these ranges, so the spread between quotes is wide.

London is dearer, often by a quarter or more, so prices in East Sussex usually sit nearer the guide ranges than the London ones.

What changes the price

The number of bedrooms and bathrooms matters most. A furnished home takes longer, and one guide puts furnished properties at roughly 20 to 30% more than empty ones.

Carpets and ovens are often priced separately. Published guides list carpet cleaning at around £25 to £45 a room and an oven deep clean at around £45 to £80. If your tenancy agreement says carpets must be professionally cleaned, ask for it in the quote.

What to ask before you book

Ask what is included: inside cupboards and appliances, skirting boards, windows inside, descaling in the bathroom. Ask whether the cleaner will come back if the landlord or agent finds something missed. A written price for the whole job is easier to compare than an hourly rate.

On Taskmarket you describe the property once and pros send their price line by line, so you can see what each quote covers. You pay through Taskmarket and the pro is only paid once you mark the job complete.
